Day 1: Arrival in Shimla Our journey begins in the quaint hill station of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the cool mountain air and the charming colonial architecture that adorns the city. After settling into our hotel, we ventured out to explore the Mall Road, lined with shops selling local handicrafts and delicious street food. The highlight of the day was a visit to the historic Viceregal Lodge, once the summer residence of the British viceroys.
Day 2: Shimla to Manali Leaving behind the bustling streets of Shimla, we embarked on a scenic drive to the picturesque town of Manali. En route, we made a stop at Kullu Valley, famous for its apple orchards and traditional shawl weaving industry. As we reached Manali, we were greeted by the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Pir Panjal range. The evening was spent strolling along the banks of the Beas River and exploring the vibrant markets of Old Manali.
Day 3: Exploring Manali Our third day in Himachal Tour Package was dedicated to exploring the natural wonders of Manali. We started our day with a visit to the ancient Hadimba Temple, nestled amidst towering deodar trees. From there, we proceeded to the Solang Valley, where adrenaline junkies can indulge in thrilling activities like paragliding and zorbing. As the day drew to a close, we witnessed a breathtaking sunset from the vantage point of the Rohtang Pass, surrounded by snow-clad peaks as far as the eye could see.
Day 4: Manali to Dharamshala Leaving the tranquility of Manali behind, we embarked on a scenic drive to Dharamshala, the spiritual heart of Himachal Pradesh. Upon reaching our destination, we were welcomed by the serene atmosphere of this hill town, which serves as the residence of the Dalai Lama. Our first stop was the Tsuglagkhang Complex, home to the Namgyal Monastery and the residence of the Dalai Lama. We also explored the vibrant markets of McLeod Ganj, known for their Tibetan handicrafts and delicious street food.
Day 5: Dharamshala to Dalhousie On the fifth day of our journey, we bid farewell to Dharamshala and set off for the charming hill station of Dalhousie. As we drove through winding mountain roads, we were treated to panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range and lush green valleys. Upon reaching Dalhousie, we checked into our hotel and spent the evening exploring the colonial-era architecture of this quaint town. We also visited St. John’s Church, a beautiful stone church dating back to the British Raj.
Day 6: Exploring Dalhousie and Khajjiar Our final day in Himachal Pradesh was dedicated to exploring the natural beauty of Dalhousie and nearby Khajjiar, often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India.” We started our day with a visit to Khajjiar Lake, surrounded by dense pine forests and snow-capped peaks. Here, we enjoyed horse riding and picnicking amidst nature’s splendor. In the afternoon, we returned to Dalhousie and visited the Subhash Baoli, a tranquil spot surrounded by tall cedar trees, where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is believed to have meditated.
As our journey through Himachal Tour Package came to an end, we carried with us memories of breathtaking landscapes, serene temples, and warm hospitality.
